Hey Everyone
Hope you’re having a good week.
I’m having another raffle to raise funds for people in Palestine.
Firstly, I’d like to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who entered, or shared, the raffle last month. We raised over £2500!!!!!!! Totally amazing.
I’m going to say all the same things I said last month in the raffle email- I can't believe we are still having to say this. I'm sure like everyone else, I’m totally disgusted and outraged at our government’s continuing complicity in this genocide and totally heartbroken every day at the horrific reality of life for people in Palestine. It’s hard not to feel helpless, but I hope we can all continue to take what action we can and show the world that this is not ok, we do not stand by what is happening.
Raffle donations are to two camps run by The Sameer Project- an amazing charity run by four Palestinians that I’ve been following on instagram, and this time also to Sulala Animal Rescue who have been doing consistently amazing work helping animals in need in Gaza. The Sameer Project distribute food and water, provide medical care, shelter, and just human to human support and care too plus lots more. There is more information on their work at the links below, and on their instagram. It’s very inspirational and they are just doing a totally amazing job in the most awful circumstances.
HOW TO ENTER/ WHAT YOU WILL WIN
The piece I’m raffling is a cherub plate- like the one above. It’s about 18cm diameter. Each one is different as they are all hand drawn, so it may look slightly different to in the photo. Raffle is open worldwide.
I’m asking for a donation of £4. Each £4 is one ‘ticket’ for the raffle. Please make a donation to either of the camp’s fundraisers (or both), and then email a screenshot that clearly shows your donation confirmation and amount donated (so I know how many tickets to allocate to your entry) to alihewsonraffle@gmail.com
The three links below are to the Chuffed fundraiser pages for each cause.
I know the screenshot approach is a bit of a faff but I think it is better when the money just goes directly to the charity and doesn’t pass through my online shop or whatever. I appreciate the extra effort it takes so thank you very much!
I did the raffle last month as I couldn't go to the march in London in solidarity with Palestine. The same thing has prompted me this weekend. I have been to several of the marches and I promise you, if you are able to attend one, you are likely to leave feeling empowered and like not all humans are assholes. I think it's really, really, really important that if you don't agree with what is happening, you continue to say so outloud, to everyone, publicly. There is more info on tomorrow’s march in London here.
THANK YOU for reading
Sending love
Ali xx
